At Automotive Technology Experts (ATE), we understand the importance of providing fast and accurate vehicle diagnostic scanning and calibration services.  We service hundreds of customers that rely on us to ensure that the repairs they have completed are safe and that the vehicle will operate as the manufacturer had intended.   

 

ATE was founded in 2019 to provide technological and electrical repair expertise in the collision industry that struggles to stay current with the rapidly changing technology in vehicles.  We employ technicians across the country. Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE: The ATE Connector Specialist supports ATE Technicians and the automotive industry by sourcing, supplying, and coordinating connector repair parts for collision repairs. This role combines technical knowledge with administrative duties, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and cross-departmental communication to ensure timely and accurate part delivery.

  An ideal candidate would have some experience with automotive administrative work, strong communication skills, be customer-focused, and have a basic understanding of inventory processes. This role ensures our ATE Team and Customers have the best support for all their connector and terminal needs. The position would require the drive to learn and grow within the department in a constantly evolving industry.

 

  • Monitor and maintain orders, shipments, and connector inventory data.
  • Coordinate service orders and stock handling with Connector Department Specialists and third-party shipping partners.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on connector stock purchases.
  • Enter part numbers, repair orders, and purchase details into the company system.
  • Analyze order trends to anticipate and plan for stock needs.
  • Manage connector returns, canceled orders, and vendor recalls as needed.
  • Process fulfillment orders to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to verify order details, delivery timelines, and pricing.
  • Serve as a point of contact for dispatch, customers, shops, and technicians regarding connector order status or concerns.
  • Process service request tickets and track outgoing shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Build and update the Connector Catalog quarterly for various vehicles (Year/Make/Model).
  • Stay current on emerging automotive connector technologies and applications
  • Host cold calls to potential customers and vendors on connectors/products
  • Maintain documents for quotes, orders, and customer metrics
  • Build strong relationships with repeat outside customers and maintain a regular call/email schedule
  • Drive sales growth by promoting compatible or upgraded connector solutions
  • Track Sales Performance and identify opportunities to increase sales.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and KPI’s
  • Provide Feedback to management on the connector department's performance and needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in inventory management, automotive parts coordination, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Working knowledge of ADAS systems and electrical services (calibrations, programming, diagnostics, wire/connector repair, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods in an automotive shop environment.
  • Willingness to learn technical details
  • Basic Computer skills and experience with inventory or sales systems
